Once again, Bishopp PR is proud to be supporting the annual Christmas Magic Light film adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s much-loved stories. This year’s title is The Scarecrows’ Wedding, produced by multi-Oscar-nominated Magic Light Pictures for the BBC. The half-hour animated special will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Christmas.
Bringing the enchanting picture book to life, the film features an all-star voice cast: Rob Brydon (Gavin & Stacey, The Trip) as Reginald Rake, Jessie Buckley (Wicked Little Letters, Wild Rose) as Betty O’Barley, Domhnall Gleeson (About Time, Alice & Jack) as Harry O’Hay, with narration from Sophie Okonedo (Slow Horses, Hotel Rwanda).
The story follows two devoted scarecrows, Betty O’Barley and Harry O’Hay, as they plan a wedding to remember. But when Harry sets out to fetch one final item for their big day, a smooth-talking rival, Reginald Rake, seizes the chance to disrupt their plans. With Betty in danger and everything at risk, can Harry return in time to save her?
