Y Crwydryn (The Wanderer)
S4C and BBC iPlayer
We worked on Y Crwydryn (The Wanderer), a beautifully crafted and contemplative film following Welsh country singer Wil Tan on a personal journey across Wales. Along the way, he reconnects with musicians and old friends, exploring life, ageing and what it means to keep creating as the spotlight begins to fade.
Originally developed for cinema, the film captures Wales in striking, cinematic detail - from sweeping landscapes to quiet corners - with the soulful pull of country music threading throughout. Through candid and often humorous conversations, Wil and his companions reflect on love, loss, illness and the realities of growing older — subjects rarely voiced so openly by men of their generation.
Poignant, lyrical and visually rich, Y Crwydryn is a moving celebration of music, memory and enduring friendship - and a heartfelt portrait of men finding their voice and their place as time moves on.
